ETHNIC PROJECT

Free Tibet

Ethnic project inspired by Tibet.
Tibet was conquered by China in the 1950s,
since then, tibetan people have experienced cultural and religious oppression.
Tibetans have engaged in self-immolation, setting their bodies alight, in protest against China’s rule of their homeland.
Tibetans incited themselves to demand an end to Chinese government intervention in their religion and allow return to Tibet of exiled spiritual leader Dalai Lama.
The quiet protest, centered on total self-sacrifice, is not felt much around the world, partly because the Chinese authorities are preventing journalists from entering the Tibet region to cover the brutal oppression.
